Enzo’s Primatraccia Bianco feels like a day at the beach in liquid format: a refreshing dunk in an ocean of briney, sun-drenched, and smile inducing grape juice. 100% Trebbiano grown along Enzo’s calcareous hillsides, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentations in steel tanks with a few days macerating on skins before being transferred to clay amphora (as seen on the label) for 6-8 months of development, bottled without any filtration of sulphur. More sunny-hued than truly orange in appearance, the Primatraccia moves past some initial funk to reveal oodles of pickley yellow citrus zest, salted mango, yellow peaches in the sand, and seaspray. Pleasantly viscous and oily in the mouth, the wines inherit richness is countered by parallel lines of mineral crunch and tangy acid. Bring your sunblock.
